Cap and Trade Lies

Today I watched Rob Andrews 1st district from New Jersey and other Dems in the house continue to say over and over that there is no energy tax in the budget. LIES! What is Cap and Trade then? It looks like a tax to me, and not just on businesses... let me explain.

Cap and trade basically puts a cap on businesses emissions and allows unused emissions units to be sold to other businesses. Basically its a new expense for many companies. Well companies that make emissions are rolling in money so who cares right?

WRONG!

Watching businesses run by family members my whole life, I have learned that when a new cost is added to a company, it gets passed down to the consumer 99.9% of the time. So when businesses are forced to pay for emissions, what do you think the price us consumers pay for their goods/services will do? Its going to go up! Plain and simple. This is a tax on business but more importantly its a tax on each and every American.

I promise you this, when cap and trade gets put into place (not if but when, as we have a Dem majority), watch your electric bills. Electricity is going to cost more for everyone! Who is that going to hurt most? I will tell you, its the people who have a hard time paying their bills as it is, the guy who just lost his job, the family who just lost their home who now live in a small apartment that they still pay electricity for. That's who is going to pay for America to 'go green'.

Now I am not saying that green technology is not important or bad or anything like that. I think its a great thing for our country to do and the responsible thing to do. Unfortunately, we ARE in a recession and it is the last thing we should be worrying about. Cap and trade will not help us gain a better economic standing and will hurt our recovery.

(Also interesting to note we aren't even the biggest polluters in the world, check out China, they surpass us in carbon emissions and will never do anything to change that. THEY DON'T CARE!)

Cap and Trade is a tax on business and a tax on every American, so don't blindly listen to the Democrats saying there is no tax increase, because there is!

The REAL Crisis of 2009: A small minority has hijacked our political system, our political process, our political parties and our government. Little by little, over time, they have expanded their reach while they thought nobody was looking. They lie to the American people and they use political power to force others to agree with them. They are in all branches of government and they are republicans AND democrats, yet most people don't realize whats going on! I have created this Blog to inform, too many of you have had the wool pulled over you eyes for so long.

I see good hearted and kind Americans every day who I think must have been brainwashed because I wonder if they even listen to what they are saying or should I say preaching. Have they not been paying attention to the world around them? Do they not see what is going on? Are they just plain ignorant? I'm honestly not sure what to think about them.

I will use this blog to share my ideas and knowledge in hopes that one day in my lifetime we will see a change (not an Obama change) from politics as usual.
